The top four teams in the NWBU women’s competition have established a break over the bottom four after Tuesday night’s games went as expected. The closest result came at Somerset, where Wynyard returned to the winners list with a 80-64 victory over the Heat. The Wildcats trailed by seven points at the first break, but exploded on offence in the second quarter with a 33-13 burst to set up the result. Somerset failed to make any serious inroads into the deficit in the second half as Wynyard improved to 4-1 on the season.
