A Burnie man’s flaccid attempt at a full lap of West Park during the New Year’s Eve carnival has resulted in a fine. Shaun Desmond Arnol appeared in the Burnie Magistrates Court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a count of entering reserved area of a sports venue. Video which circulated on social media in early January showed his pitch invasion and attempted lap being cut short by a well timed tackle from a police officer.
