A youth is in custody following an alleged escape attempt at Ashley Youth Detention Centre | The Advocate

A male youth is in custody, following an incident at Ashley Youth Detention Centre on Tuesday night. The youth allegedly made an attempt to escape custody at the centre at about 7:15pm. Tasmania Police shortly located him hiding in bushes nearby a short time later. Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
